So I've been going through and taking all of my 2014 homebrew subclasses and one-by-one converting them over to fit with 2024 rules. It's for the most part been a cathartic experience in all honesty.
However, I am now at the point of converting my Paladin homebrew subclasses and while referencing the 4 subclasses in the 2024 core, I have noticed a trend that I want some second opinions on.
It would seem that 3 out of the 4 core paladin subclasses for 2024 have had one of their two channel divinity options removed (when compared to 2014 version). Is this just a product of the new Abjure Foes class feature or is the trend going towards subclasses only granting a single channel divinity feature instead of two?
I would hate to see that be the trend. For some of these homebrew subclasses, choosing between one or the other of the two CD options would be like choosing between my left or right kidney...I'd kinda like to keep both.
Looks like they're just avoiding the overlap with Abjure Foes to me. Oath of Glory still has its two CDs because they both do something unique that isn't covered by Abjure Foes.

Was sort of my train of thought as well, but I wanted to get some second opinions. It's important to me that I get these things right =]
