Are fighter sublasses still an issue, I can only select Champion. A search online shows this may have been a bug, is it still the case, or am I doing something wrong?

Do you have the PHB on D&D Beyond? Champion is the only subclass in the free rules.
Yes I believe I do ( I htink I got it via the code in the physical version if I remember correctly) also my account shows as fully synced. (I also have DM handbook on beyond)
Edit: yes, just double checked, PHB and DM 2014 versions. Licenses says all synced.

The issue is likely that you're using the 2024 version of the Fighter class. Since you don't have the 2024 Player's Handbook, you can't use any of the subclasses in it.
What you want to do is go to the Class tab in the character builder and remove the existing class, then choose the 2014 version of the Fighter class instead. You may need to scroll down to find it (and you need to have the "2014 Core Rules" box checked on the Home tab first).
Spot on! Thank you ever so much. Such a simple thing to have needed to scroll down when selecting the class when you know how!
I thought I had filtered for 2014 rules and nothing else, but it seems to present 2024 regardless,... or maybe I missed something. Understandable though, as the new product needs putting out there I figure.
(I'll no doubt pick up 2024 at some point, but right now am just looking to put existing characters on d&d beyond to see if any better than paper)

Yeah, there is no way to filter to 2014 rules only. As the 2024 content is the latest version, it's always available.
