Summon greater demon let's you obviously summon a demon and tells you examples of one's to summon, but there are no new cr5 stat block demons just cr2 and below as well as cr8 demon stat blocks. Let's be honest the new stat blocks far outshine the old stat blocks. Does this make this spell even viable anymore.
And yes I can just pop one up and cancel concentration in a room but old monsters vs new monsters usually lose. Thoughts?
Are you sure you're looking in the right place? There's one CR 4, one CR 5, and two CR 6 in the new MM- looks like everything from the original was carried over.
