I was trying to create a homebrew subclass for Paladin but as I was creating it I noticed that I wasn't sure where to put the tenants nor could I see where tenants were for other subclasses in character creation. Does anybody know where the hell they go or where I would find them when in character creation?
Well there's a reason Conquest Paladins are some of the most frequently evil, it's not a nice Oath. That is the intention, if you reflavour it to be nicer your kinda wanting to eat your cake and still have it too https://vidmate****/.
If you're just looking for a "Bring order by conquest" nicer flavoured Pladin, consider Oath of the Crown instead.
The tenets are part of the subclass description, not features.
Dungeonmaster discretion, of course: but the tenants are there because if you break your tenants, you’re supposed to be become an oathbreaker paladin. Losing all of your original paladin features and being replaced by oath breaker. Ensure you fulfill the necessary requirements and conditions to restore your oath.

Despite people jumping to the conclusion based on the name, Oathbreaker is not the default result of any paladin breaking any tenet. It’s the full on turn to the dark side option, and the 2014 PHB specifically outlined that the response for rejecting an Oath’s tenets is to take a different Oath or class.

Regardless of where he that's the intent, that's beside the point.
The tenets are part of the flavour and description, not part of the mechanics like Lay on Hands, Aura of Courage etc. As such, it gets put in the description part, rather than features.

If you're not willing or able to to discuss in good faith, then don't be surprised if I don't respond, there are better things in life for me to do than humour you. This signature is that response.

Doesn’t change the fact that the post between this one and your one I quoted is incorrect that the tenets have no mechanical purpose.

Except it's not; the entire thing about something happening in response to the tenets is a just one roleplay option a DM might choose to exercise, not a hard rule of the game.
From what I'm reading I feels though we've lost the plot. What I'm asking is more so where it is in character creation/character sheet do you view the tenets before you select your subclass so that way when I make my subclass it would be in the same place. When looking at oath of devotion as it seems to be the only one available for me I don't see the tenets anywhere in character creation. Where are the tenets? Did I miss them or are they nowhere to be seen besides the book?
"The Oath of Devotion binds Paladins to the ideals of justice and order. These Paladins meet the archetype of the knight in shining armor. They hold themselves to the highest standards of conduct, and some—for better or worse—hold the rest of the world to the same standards.
Many who swear this oath are devoted to gods of law and good and use their gods’ tenets as the measure of personal devotion. Others hold angels as their ideals and incorporate images of angelic wings into their helmets or coats of arms.
These paladins share the following tenets:
Let your word be your promise.
Protect the weak and never fear to act.
Let your honorable deeds be an example. "
The tenets are here, they are somewhat loose, but that opens them up to customization. Back in the 2014 days, i would compile personal tenets that were part of my oaths, like " My Lord's mercy is for all. Despite whatever pre-conceptions i hold, i will offer kindness and mercy to all who ask for it in good faith."
I also would fudge the Oath-breaker Paladin with things like " My Previous oath was a shackle. A leash by those who would turn me into a tool of evil. I Now happily break my oath and spite my former master as i look for something that is worth believing in."

Class features changing is “mechanical” not roleplay. whether or not, as I originally stated, it being up to the DM, is irrelevant to the fact that they have “mechanical” effects all of this is off-topic.

They are not listed any where as part of character creation, only in the description of the subclass in the book whether that is the physical or digital version.

Would you mind pointing them out?

OP- when in doubt add it to notes sections.
