Let me guess, this is for trading and gathering type activities in survival heavy, inventory management. Yeah, I have done that, got some advice.
Don't track each pelt, track Bundles, and set weight for the bundles. You might have to set various types of pelts if you want an aspect of trade where one group wants x type pelts and you have X but need Y.

Does anyone have a homebrew list or complete ACTUAL DND 5E list of the weight of different animal pelts/furs?
