am I doing something wrong? i bought the chronurgy magic to use on a character and its not letting me have access or do I just need to purchase the entire book?
Hmm, I am not sure what else to tell you unfortunately. I assume you have confirmed you're able to access the subclass's text to show it is unlocked. Once I enable the Critical Role content in the character creator if I create a 2nd level wizard I get the "EGtW - Chronurgy Wizard" option to choose as my 2nd level Arcane Tradition.
Did you buy the subclass or a particular spell? If the latter, it might not appear as a class option for a Wizard unless you are the appropriate subclass. As they’re recorded in Beyond, Chronurgy and Graviturgy are not a part of the general Wizard list.
You need to have CR content turned on in character preferences, and you have to be one of the two relevant wizard subclasses. And even them some spells are only available for one or the other subclass. If you're not playing one of the relevant subclasses, what you want to do is go into the homebrew tools, select 'create a spell,' select the spell you want your character to be able to use, and use it as a template to make a new spell. All you're going to change is the 'available for' field to whatever class your character is. Just choose the main class (like 'bard'), don't choose a subdomain. Save it, and then make sure homebrew is on for your character sheet, and you should be good to go. This is DDB's workaround for the line about 'these spells are for the specific subclasses only, but others can use them at DM discretion.'
I am having this problem as well. I have purchased Explorers Guide to Wildemount and Chronurgy is not an option. I have everything toggled on and I am not sharing any content. Any ideas what else could be the issue?
I'm having the same problem as well. Are they ever going to fix this?
They'll fix it but they've got a very long list of things to fix from the new PHB and as was said above the third party subclasses like the Critical Role ones have the added problem of needing permission from the third party creators to change them

I figured, mine was before the 2024 update around May actually maybe a little before that. Hopefully by the end of the year it's resolved.
It's not that, it's certain subclasses are locked into pre-2024 classes. Which is stupid and make no sense, but whatever.
It's the partnered content ones that were made for 2014. As WotC doesn't own them, they don't have the same freedom to unilaterally adjust them to mesh with 2024. Whether there's notable hurdles to getting the permissions to make them function like that on Beyond or if it's just a lack of interest in taking the step is something we can only guess at.

Same advice that's been given repeatedly: Open one tab or window with a homebrew copy of the 2014 subclass, open another with a fresh 2024 subclass. Copy everything. Unless the people behind CR update it, that's all you'll be able to do. It's out of Beyond's hands.

Is the character one of the CR wizard subclasses?
What jl8e said first here seems the likely issue to me. On the first page of character creation make sure this is turned on.
I did that and it is still not showing up
it's in this book EXPLORER’S GUIDE TO WILDEMOUNT

Birgit | Shifter | Sorcerer | Dragonlords
Shayone | Hobgoblin | Sorcerer | Netherdeep
Which subclasses would I need?
Graviturgy and Chronurgy Wizard, oddly enough.
How is it with the 2024 rule changes?

Third-party subclasses aren't supported yet on the new classes. This is probably licensing
You'll have to stick with 2014 wizard for the time being, or homebrew, which is probably a real pain with the spells

If you haven't already...
