Sorry, no multiclassing. Here we play as one class. Now choose, who do you adventure as. Also, please comment on what your favorite combination of race, class, and background are. There you can post your multiclassing if you like.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
What is my favorite class to play... You're causing me an existential crisis here. When I throw NPC in my campaign to fight they are class 1d12 with 1 being bararian and 12 being wizard... 3 I guess I'm voting Wizard
I enjoy fighters. I've played ranged and melee fighters, Dwarf, Half-Orc, and Human. Half-Orc champion has so far been the most fun. They're just a cool class. Way better than Paladins.
I love Warlocks, but honestly it was hard to choose one, because I also love Rangers, Rogues, Bards, and Monks, and for the first time in DnD I LOVE the Paladin. I liked them in 4e, but 5e takes all the lessons of the previous editions and makes the Paladin into one of the best classes in DnD. Same with Monks and Bards, honestly.
The Warlock is a blast (pun intended), and certainly my favorite, but it's a slim margin, with all the others about even.
I love playing my paladin (though my warlock/cleric multiclass is a great support build, but we're not talking about multiclassing). I like being sort of a jack-of-all-trades of combat. AC is great, damage is decent, I can heal allies and protect them with my auras. Bard is also a fun class, but a bit too squishy for my tastes. Truly, each class has a play style that can shine in a party. I prefer to play defensively and have a reasonable ability to fill roles as needed (tank, damage, combat medic, etc). I also like having an excuse to pump charisma and persuasion.
I generally enjoy playing rangers. I love the dual wielding and animal companions. I've also used rangers in the past for prestige classes and multiclassing. The funny thing is I didn't like rangers that much when I first played. I had a friend who is a huge Drizzt fan and every ranger he played was either an elven clone of Drizzt or Legolas. Both are great characters in their own right, but I never realized the potential of what you can do as a ranger because I only saw the class through his eyes.

I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Fighter, with Barbarian and Monk tied for second place. I generally play martial characters, but I'm trying to diversify a bit. Thinking of trying my first Wizard at some point soon.
My favorite class is always ‘the next one’ that I’m building or working on. That being said, something about unarmed combat has always resonated with me so I enjoy monks

I know what you're thinking: "In that flurry of blows, did he use all his ki points, or save one?" Well, are ya feeling lucky, punk?
In 3.5/4e, a base Ranger was always my favorite class, but in 5e it's definitely Fighter. My all-time favorite is a Human Battlemaster, though I like to try new things and play so few campaigns that I've only played it the once.
Really, I enjoy all of them but Bards. And I really only don't choose bards because I set such high standards on how to roleplay as one that I can't meet myself.
The first character I made was a Black Dragonborn Hexblade Warlock with a chaotic good alignment and an acolyte background, I was trying to do him as a man who managed to redeem himself to a degree only now to be possibly tempted to a new low even further down than were he was originally, since he unwittingly made a pact with a demon who has taken up residence in his long sword and is now granting him eldritch powers that he assumes is a boon from Bahamut. I really want to multiclass him into either a Cleric or a Paladin do to this but I want it to make sense lore wise

That moment when you jokingly say "Rocks fall; everyone dies" only to have the DM, mere seconds after saying that, drop rocks on the party and you're the only one who fails the Dex. Saving throw... Murphy's Law is in affect.
Interesting. Cleric has now passed into the lead, followed closely by wizard, and then warlock, paladin and fighter neck and neck!
I thought I had posted here, but apparently not. My first love is always going to be warlock - usually a Noble tiefling fiendlock or a noble elf (eladrin now) feylock.
No, there's no rule against Necromancy. Its got that stigma of evil, but of course, False Life and Spare the Dying are Necromancy, and no one bats an eye at that.
Well both of those are necromancy and I was referring to the low-level spells that were mentioned above, but nonetheless. Also, I am not sure what you are saying. Which is it? That you find this kind of thread revival to be more like the Resurrection spell or the Finger of Death spell?

I'm onto my 3rd Firbolg Druid, so there's that...

I'm surprised that Rogue has no votes, honestly.

Fighter, mainly because of the versatility of the build options.

I thought I would revitalize this poll and possibly get some new opinions. It has been interesting to watch this change as people pour in.
Looks like you've got about 83 votes with each vote weighing about 1.2%

I have 75 votes. But nonetheless is there a rule against revitalizing old posts? If so, I am sorry, I didn't realize. Or are you just pointing it out?

I agree, no one really cares about the little stuff.
I do! I care! Its the difference between a Resurrection and a Finger of Death! Seriously, flipping off the forums with the Finger is just not nice!
