So me and my friends want to play D&D we know nothing about it except how the game is played nothing else. So I wanted to set a discord server for us on it. I was wondering if there anyone tried that before and if there popular bots for that and thanks.
Avrae is the official D&D discord bot. You can connect it to your D&D Beyond account and use it to do stuff like make rolls using your character stats, look up monsters, or even run combat. It also connects to the game log in Maps so your rolls from there appear in Discord and vice versa.
Dyno is one of the biggest server management bots and has loads of tools that let you do a lot of useful stuff as a DM.
It depends on what you want out of it. Do you want a more complicated Dice roller than the one in Discord? Do you want a music bot that plays things to set the mood? What do you need it to do? that will really make all the difference to recommendations.
