Good day, I am creating a homebrew feat and one of the benefits are as follows:
You gain proficiency in one type of Tool of your choice. If you already have proficiency with your chosen tool, your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses that tool’s proficiency.
Is it possible to create that modifier using D&D Beyond's homebrew system? If not, is there a good workaround?
I'm sorry if this was a question that was already asked, I couldn't find the solution in my research.
If this was a subclass or species, I’d add two Options: one for Proficiency and one for Expertise. Inside each Option, I’d then add the appropriate Modifier.
Unfortunately, Options in Feats don’t support Modifiers. 😕
So if this was just for use in my own campaign, I’d simply give it whichever one I knew would be used.

ModeratorI don’t think that’s possible with a feat.
