Oh this is nothing new for my group, we have been ding this since 3e back when races of Faerun came out. Makes taking additional languages with feats and backgrounds worth it. We do make sure we all have a language in common so we can communicate. Does make it fun when a player intentionally makes a gaffe in a language their character does not know that well. Such as when the ranger comes back and says there are puppies ahead. When in reality there are wolves ahead.
My group instead o using Common has multiple different human languages. Is there a way to set this up in the Character generator?

You can add custom languages on the character sheet.
