According to the 2024 rules for surprise, the surprised person gets Disadvantage for their Initiative. I use the auto initiative feature for the D&DB VTT. How can I reflect the Disadvantage for any surprised party members?
According to Surprise 2024 rules, the character who is surprised must roll Initiative with Disadvantage. However, D&D Beyond VTT's auto-initiative feature currently does not support Disadvantage, so it cannot be applied automatically. Therefore, to comply with the rules, you must manually intervene: either manually roll initiative with Disadvantage and re-enter the result, or adjust the order of initiatives after auto-rolling.

Reroll the creatures initiative and select the disadvantage option when you do
