Hello, I do realise that this has probably been posted a billion times before so I do apologise for this but I was just wondering if there was a way to get a discount on purchasing a source / adventure book if you've made à la carte purchases from it before?
Specifically, I'm looking at getting the Curse of Strahd module hopefully sometime this weekend because of the Black Friday sales. I've purchased a few items from that module already including Ezmerelda, Blood Spear, Gulthias Staff, Holy Symbol of Ravenkind, and the Sunsword (finished that campaign as a player a few months ago - DM had the physical module but all the players were using DNDB so I made those purchases and just shared them to the other players to make it easier). I know DNDB discontinued à la carte purchases but I was just curious if a further discount can be had for purchasing some of those items separately?
Also, I do apologise if this isn't the correct place to be posting this. The DNDB general section seemed appropriate.
Contact customer support and they can give you the discount.
Good luck getting a response in time, though.

A la carte purchases made a lot of sense for players. If the game is worth playing, people will end up buying the book. Forcing the purchase of a book will make cost of entry too high for people just getting into ithttps://mobdro.bio/ .
I’m currently having the problem that the code I’ve been given for discount for past purchase won’t stack with the discount for the Black Friday sale, it only allows me to have one or the other. I’m not holding out much hope for a reply from customer services in time for it to matter (the fact the code I was given has a three month time limit on it is another bone of contention)
I contacted Customer Service on December 15 to request assistance with a prior à la carte purchase for a book discounted for the Winter Sale. They replied two days later, but again, the discount code provided does not account for the sale price and will not stack with the sale discount. Here is part of their reply:
I appreciate your patience while we worked to produce this à la carte discount code for you. The code will become active tomorrow, 12/18/2025, and expire within 90 days. Also, please note that à la carte discount codes do not stack with any other discounts, sales, or promotions.
The problem with this practice is that the prior purchase should be considered a pre-paid credit, not a discount. Stacking the credit with the discount is not the same as stacking two discounts.
By playing semantic games and only providing credit for prior a la carte purchases when charging full price for the book, this means that customers who made partial purchases and later wish to buy the full book will always pay full price for the book, while new customers can buy it at sales prices. This is not fair and is a slap in the face for longtime customers. It is insulting and discourages purchases.
Their message invited additional questions by replying via email. I have replied twice, but they to date they have not responded to my follow-up questions and comments. I doubt they will.
Yeah, it’s a really dumb system that does not favour customers, and especially those that made à la carte purchases prior to them scrapping that purchase system. When I purchased CoS last year after this forum post, I was met with the same “we cannot apply two different discounts” spiel. Really disappointing.

Ok, i will give that a try! Thank you ☺️
I mean, yeah you’re probably right though. I feel like it is a long shot but can’t hurt to try right?
