In an adventure league game I'm playing, I play a level three gnome barbarian, and somehow got a attacking wolf to listen to me. I am now going to take 3 levels of Ranger to get beastmaster. It says its hitpoint maximum is four times my ranger level but I'm wondering if the rules for multi-classing is my character's overall level. Because everything else is my proficiency bonus, which factors overall level
