Nathan Stewart, the senior director of Dungeons & Dragons and Avalon Hill, made the announcement on his monthly "Spoilers & Swag" Twitchcast yesterday. "Next year for our annual releases I can confirm there will be a setting book," he said. "A new setting book. A book that we have not created that is for a D&D setting."
The article goes on to speculate that it could be Spelljammer or Dark Sun or Greyhawk (from what we've heard from official sources, it seems unlikely the "new" means entirely new to D&D and much more likely means new for 5E).
I'd guess Planescape or Dark Sun; Greyhawk seems unlikely in that it's essentially another high fantasy setting, without "big picture" differentiators from FR.
I'm ready for some weirdness ala Spelljammer. They've covered so much of already constantly tread ground of classic D&D that Spelljammer and a bestiary for it would add a lot of life IMO. Some vehicle rules, a few new spells, and magic swashbuckling adventures would await!
Apparently a WOTC person let it be known a new setting for the game will be released in 2019:

It is not going to be Spelljammer he stated that as a definite enworld has a good article on it.
