I am curious on what you are expecting? I mean, this type of thing can be done in numerous ways.
One of my friends uses Google Sheets for his planning. Or you could use Excel. Or just some notes on Notepad. Or go old school and use pencil, pen and a actual real life paper notepad. Or really old school and use graph paper. Ah, the good ol days....
If you are hitting your character slot cap it is not that much for a hero subscription (25.99/year) with unlimited slots. Honestly, my love of creating characters is the main reason I bought a subscription.
If you are, let's say, level one but you want to plan out the following levels, is there a way to do this in D&D beyond?
Thank you for any and all help.
Write them down in the Notes section in Description? As far as I know there's no supported way of doing that.

Make a copy of your character. Level up the copy. Original stays safe, planning sheet can be changed at will.
That is the only way so far? I already filled up my 6 slots and can’t do that. Shame you can’t just plan out your character on the character sheet.
