So when I'm bored I like to make up new dnd characters, most of which I'll probably never use but occasionally I like them enough to take them farther.
I started off with a small Idea in mind, a Hexblade whos pact weapon was a Trident who was in search of some legendary trident of the sea. Seems simple enough of a start. I picked Tiefling on a wim because I like them and I don't really have a tiefling character yet, other then one rogue idea that I'll probably never use, and they have a hell of a lot of customization in terms of how they can look so i figured a blue skinned Tiefling would be pretty dope for the Sea theme of the character.
During the creation of the mini I decided I wanted the character to be a duel wielder and I went looking for an off-handed short sword to use because if I made this character I would likely have strength be the worst stat since dex is just typically better for the character overall in my mind. However, I couldn't find a short sword I liked so I went through the long swords and settled on the Falchion and I'd just flavor it to be a short sword. (Or if I just got great stats all around it wouldn't matter)
Once I finished the mini I liked the design a lot so I started making the character on d&d beyond and I had just finished the spells when I finally realized I had subconsciously made a "Child Character" of Fjord and Jester from critical role. I thought this was rather funny so i thought I would share.
You made Ronin!
LOL you're right. I think I shall name him Ronin now in honor of the young critter and this story.
