I'm running a campaign wherein I've rewarded a few of my players with abilities and mechanics as payment for completing milestones or finishing a character arc. A spell here, a custom feat there, a spell-like ability or three, or the ability to breath water as with the Amphibious trait.
I'm wondering if there's a way (short of creating an item that doesn't require attunement) I can get this on their sheets in DnD Beyond?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for taking the time to read this!
You can homebrew a custom feat and add it to a character sheet. You can create ad-hoc custom actions (including bonus actions and reactions) on a character sheet. Go to actions and click "manage custom". For things like Amphibious you can just add a note.

Most of it can just be added by creating a custom feat and when creating it add an "action" to it. I usually add notes about when it was received.

Excellent, thanks folks!
