I was thinking what class ability would be the strongest in the hands of a level one character.
Abilities like Wild Shape would available at the lowest level, so 1/4 CR enemies that can't swim or fly.
As far a definition for class feature, you can't pick the spell slots of a 20 level caster cause that's not quite a feature, although you could pick the Warlock's mystic arcanum for a 9th level spell.
My thought is either the wizards 18th level ability which let's you cast a specific 1st level spell and a specific 2nd level spell at will, or the moon Druid's 10th level ability which let's them turn into an element, although only once per short rest.
Storm sorcerer's Wind Soul for 2 damage immunities and a 60 feet fly speed.
Redemption Paladin's emissary of redemption for resistance to all damage from enemies you haven't attacked or hurt and reflect half damage back (kill them in your sleep).
Rogue scout's sudden strike to sneak attack twice per turn, powerful at all levels.

Use Magic Device 13th level thief
honorable mention - Crit on 18-20 with champ fighter
I was thinking about the Use Magic Device, ignoring level restrictions is a lot better at a low level.
Storm sorcerer's Wind Soul for 2 damage immunities and a 60 feet fly speed.

Warlock's 9th level mystic arcanum.
Wizard's spell mastery.
14th-lvl Divination Wizard's triple Portent all the way baby
Second wind, take a short rest and heal up quick (let's face it I'm an NPC, 10hp max ;-) )
i think the 18-20 crit is mine
