Homebrew dagger

Is there any way to make a dagger do d6 damage instead of d4 in the homebrew section? 

I don't think so. Options like these should get added eventually.

 Rename the shortsword is about it though. You might be able to do a homebrew shortsword that can be used by someone with Dagger proficiency.

You could add +1 to damage.  1d4 +1 essentially gets you the same average damage as 1d6.
