I'm no law expert, but the general rule of thumb is: don't put anything you want to publish in a public place on someone else's website, ever. As soon as you give other people free and open access to your work (like a public homebrew item), you have failed to take action to protect your intellectual property, and it becomes extremely difficult to argue in court that this is your protected work (since you didn't try to protect it).
Short answer: If you plan to write and publish something, don't put it here.

WOTC lies. We know that WOTC lies. WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. We know that WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. And still they lie.
Because of the above (a paraphrase from Orwell) I no longer post to the forums -- PM me if you need help or anything.

eg: Im writing a book and using the game as a springboard.
