What Virtual Tabletop do you use along with D&D Beyond and why, if you feel like sharing that information? The two I've researched are Roll20 and Fantasy Grounds.
Anyone know if D&D Beyond plans to have a Virtual Tabletop as an added future feature?
I use Roll20 because the lighting feature has helped with players not having to ask me what they can or can't see, plus the use of API Scripts make it easy for me to run games in person or even have a remote player join in on a particular game.
I've been using RPGtools maptools though I transmit from my computer to the TV through chromecast.
Before switching to Roll20 I used Maptool, it does a pretty good job and you could customize it to look however you wanted. I notice that it takes me less time to setup maps and campaigns with Roll20 than it did with Maptool. I find I create and use more maps in Roll20 than I would when I used Maptool. Very good program though and it's free and has lots of support.
