I'm toying with the idea of having a patron deity for my 5E updated ranger. He's a polymorphed, awakened giant schnauzer (the breed; he's not that big) in a homebrew game that seems to use Forgotten Realms deities. I'd like to use a god with a temperament/philosophy similar to his, not just a nature deity. Giant schnauzers are guard and working dogs; energetic, loyal, and smart. Bork himself is gentle out of combat and affectionate. Any suggestions?

Thanks, but Sirius's views on good and evil don't fit, and Vulodin doesn't seem to be a god of anything but dogs. Nice thoughts, though :)
