Looking in to the new D&D I have been coming across a great deal of old school players who bought books and not the digital ebooks and feel they got cheated as it should have come with a redeem key so they can use the content the bought on line on this site and or in on line games. 50 dollars is a lot of money and to make them pay 30 more for the same content is double dipping.
Yes it should as they bought the content already double charging is wrong
No they should suck it up and pay again as they were foolish enough to not buy the digital copies.

And here I thought I was on my best behavior. BUT NO I got scolded and threatened with corner time. I guess we are not allowed to express our feelings or opinions on anything here. All hugs and kisses every body's special every one gets a ribbon that says 'Your a winner" Not here more then a week and I got naughty points twice. How many points do I get?
Thank you for the link but I want a vote where they don't have to post or argue bicker or be set upon for their view

more importanly it is how the options are phrased. they are both negative in phrasing.
"yes it should as they bought the content already double charging is wrong" :seems like a slight against dndbeyond for following licenseing rules setup by WotC and wanting to be paid for the hard work they do to create this site.
"No they should suck it up and pay again as they were foolish enough to not buy the digital copies." :seems like a put down to the player base that bought into dndbeyond (and some of us like shelf decoration so we buy both).
seems like a great way for a bitter angry person to come across. this should have been a simple yes/no question and perhaps you would get a better response. however I am not a mod so hey, whatever. it's your poll.
I seriously can not believe you just post that did you read it before hitting the post button?
OK first off sorry if it seams I am talking to you as an adult talks to their 3 year old but......
Your saying in your post that one company owns the books and a completely separate company owns the digital. Sorry but Hasbro owns all the content so your whole McDonald's Burger King is wrong plus a redeem key is not a coupon it is a product key it is proof you have paid for the content and it's use is to redeem it to get the content you bought.
I'll just put you down as a no the people who where foolish enough to buy the book should shell out more money for the same content they have already paid for as so they can use the content on line.

your right you can tell where I stand but I was told on this forum if I want to buy the book I can be happy sitting in the corner with my paper and pencil sooo kind of put that mind set in the poll sorry I should have worded it better or neutral.

You are expecting a farmer to give you free meat because you have a coupon from your grocery store.
Yes, the farm may sell the meat to the store, but the store sells the meat to you. They are not the same company nor do their products usually transfer.
WoTC and Curse are completely different companies NOT the same company.
I answered you bitterly phrased poll, I chose the second option because I believe the people at D&D Beyond should be able to keep a roof over their heads and not just give out free content because you bought something from another reseller. Does it suck that I owned about 7 physical books before D&D Beyond was created? yeah. Did I complain about having to buy them again? No. Because they are different companies and I can understand that D&D Beyond needs to keep its employees paid just as much as WoTC does.
Which all of this has been stated and discussed in my previous linked article.

Your poll is essentially asking "Should every McDonald's hamburger purchase come with a free Burger King hamburger coupon?"
more importanly it is how the options are phrased. they are both negative in phrasing.

I just want to tell everyone "happy gaming" and actually mean it. Whatever your game is, just have fun with it, it is after all, just a game.

Maybe this example is better for you.
