What is your favo(u)rite of the "original" classes (Fighter, Rogue, Cleric, Wizard), and why? My favorite is probably Cleric because I like the flavor of divine magic, and I'm one of those weird people who likes playing support, but I also love the Rogue because playing a trickster-y character is fun. 

I'm a fangirl of Wizards.

Whenever I play DnD I always feel... stunted if I can't cast at least a few arcane spells. The amount of versatility and intrigue a good spell list can add to the game is incredible, and it just feels wrong to not take advantage of it. Clerics are still cool in this regard, but their spell list is less versatile for the most part and they're shackled to a deity(at least in older editions). I understand why martial classes are cool, they serve their purpose well, but nothing will really excite me quite like a diverse and/or thematically interesting spell list.
