I have a doubt, the adventurers went out of Sloobludop by the black lake to Gracklstugh in the book it is informed that the time of travel between these cities are of 20, however they speak if the adventurers were by terrestrial route. Does the travel time continue the same across the lake?
In Chapter 2 has a table listing the distances between locations and just above it, it says the table assumes a normal traveling pace of 6 miles per day.
Chapter 3 states the speed for travelling by boat:
Since there is no wind in the Underdark, all water travel involves either rowing at 1½ miles per hour, or floating with prevailing currents at 1 mile per hour. Characters can work in shifts to row more than 8 hours per day, but crewing a boat for longer than that is considered a forced march (see chapter 8 of the Player’s Handbook).
Therefore if Sloobludop to Gracklstugh is 20 days at 6 miles per day (120 miles), then rowing a boat via the Darklake at 1.5 miles per hour * 8 hours = 12 miles per day. So it would take half the time, ie: 10 days.
