I am still working on the oneshot character that I will be playing as next month.
He is a High Elf Wizard, who is chaotic evil. He is also a Sage and a Researcher. It is unusual for a High Elf to be chaotic evil, but I think I have come up with a reason, why he is. I am going to say that he came across an incredibly ancient book about Pale Night and that reading it has twisted his mind and turned him into this incredibly self-obsessed, manipulative and cunningly evil person.
But would just reading about Pale Night, be enough to change a person so drastically?

Of course it would!! Look at the Allip from Mordenkeinens Tome of Foes!! Simply possessing knowledge that another extraplanar creature doesnt want you to destroys your body and turns you into this cursed being. I think this is a fair justification!!
