So I was wondering how to best implement "Stands". I recently bought the Channeler homebrew class and was thinking of copy/pasting other classes onto it. Essentially I would keep the base abilities of the channeler and the subsequent abilities being from the other class. Is this a balanced idea? Or would I be better off just having the PC's be regular people with their stands having the actual class features?
The easiest thing would be to have the stands be the ones with classe, the problema, though, would come from social interaction situations, where a stand would be of admittedly little use...
You could maybe solve it by having the character having somewhat low stats, but getting access to the social/mental skill proficiencies of the class, and the stand gets everything else, including ASIs.
