I plan on running a lovecraftian Ghost of Saltmarsh campaign where an Aboleth has made a cult to awaken the Kraken but I cant think of interesting ways to go about it. So far i came up with a gate next to the Sahuagin fortress that leads to the elemental plane of water and when the fortress/gate was sunk the gate was disconnected. But I'm also looking for ways to call the kraken through the gate. Any suggestions?
I’m planning on running Ghosts of Saltmarsh too, but Krakens are super challenging opponents. The PCs are going to struggle to defeat one Kraken at 20th level.
