I am a new player to 5E and especially for online play. With all the choices out there (Roll20, Fantasy Grounds, D&D Beyond, etc), I am overwhelmed as to where to start. With my job (sometimes working 7 days a week (night shift) with a commute of 180 miles a day), my time can be limited. There is no local game shop in my area, either. So I figure online play might be my best option as none of my family or friends are interested in playing at this time.
What I am looking for is some suggestions as to what would be the best online service to use, and maybe some good suggestions to some tutorials on how to use these sites.
I only play online in a play by post format as it doesn't require a lot of time commitment at any given time. But campaigns can take several months to complete.

Thanks for the info. I saw that D&D Beyond has that style of play in their forums. Is that where you play? Again, thanks for getting back with me.

Yes, I play here at DnDBeyond in the Play by Post forum. Keep an eye on it and apply for games that are recruiting. Eventually you'll get in one.
