Can I get some advice from anyone knowledgeable on this issue or with an opinion?
I’ve been contemplating buying the legendary bundle, do the great value. However, it becomes less of a great value for me if I do not use either one of these books. I don’t envision ever needing them, because I love the forgotten realms, and do not want to stray from that established lore which I’ve already created and expanded upon with my playgroup.
If you are planning on, or currently only using the forgotten realms, do you see any value to getting these other books as well?. Sorry I ask so many questions on here but I really do appreciate the feedback
With the Legendary Bundle, it might still be worth getting those two books for the overall discount. Tally up all the books and material you want and see which is the better price. Sometimes, "less of a deal" is still a pretty good deal.
Ravnika has new subclasses and races (like goblins and centaurs) you won't find elsewhere. Eberron has races you won't find elsewhere.
I have yet to look through a 5e book that didn't have something to inspire some additional material in my games in addition to the great meaty bits. Those settings might still have some cool stuff for you to steal even if you aren't using them whole-cloth.
Eberron has tons of fun player races that you can slip into forgotten realms. Ravnica has 2 subclasses that are not at all setting dependant, and only 1 race option that is heavily setting dependant (but can be adjusted).
Both settings can easily be tweaked to be a single city within the forgotten realms (eberron might be more like a whole continent depending on how much lore you want to change/cut).
Over all, I like having as many player options available as possible.
I just picked up the legendary bundle. The reality is that the more and more content that gets released for 5e, the harder of a purchase the legendary bundle will become.
That being said, you can find occasional 25% off coupons running for it, and for that price it's definitely worth it as you would currently (going from zero), save a little over $120 USD.
Watching videos of it, it used to be under $300 USD, but now it's more than that. It's nice because you get a decent discount on all the books, the only issue is that you're forced to buy all the books if you want the discount.

What do you mean harder of a purchase
