Will there ever be support for people with physical copies of content? Or will D&D Beyond ever sell physical copies of books and unlock the content on the site for users based on purchase history? I feel like this would be highly beneficial for people like myself, who are really hindered from enjoying the full benefit of the sites features because I much prefer physical copies of texts. I do enjoy the interface of certain aspects of the site, like the character sheet, but the fact that I do not have access to all the traits available in a basic game text like the PHB, which I already own, is holding me back from using the site, since I feel like buying a virtual copy of a text I already own is a waste of money. I also feel like it would not be too terribly difficult to implement, not that it isn't without it drawbacks (the necessity for inventory/storage space and staff for related tasks and facilities, for example).
They have no way to verify purchases of physical books. Some new products (essentials kit for example) have redeemable codes for the digital product.
You don't have to buy the whole book on DDB to get the options, especially if you have the books. You can use the homebrew tools to add in every subclass, race, etc.
Check out the buyer's guide for more info.
