This question is mostly directed at mods, admins, and devs. Is there an easy way for the devs to access and present data on official and homebrew material? For a while I've been wondering about some of the following:
-How monsters (official and homebrew) are distributed among the different types (fiend/beast/giant/etc.), alignments, and CRs? e.g. Do we have too many good-aligned fiends of CR 22? -How are magic items distributed across rarity ratings? -Whether there is an approximate formula by which things like HP, average damage, AC, etc. rise with CR.
A few of these I could do by hand, but getting a real look at the distribution of monsters, for instance, would be a real task due to the overwhelming number of combinations of CRs, monster types, and alignments.
Well, at least the CR question is answered in the DMG. There's a table by CR as to what values are expected for its AC, proficiency bonus, HP, attack bonus, damage per round, and save DC.

That's true, but I want to actually verify that this is the system that the devs are using. I'd also want to see outlying cases, e.g. where a monster may have very high damage but very low HP for their CR.
