Hi y'all. I'm an old time d&d player from the '70s & '80s. and now I'm finally getting back in and I'm bringing my wife with me! I stayed in the rpg world the whole time (Everquest, D&D Online, Neverwinter, etc...) My eldest son wanted to start up again, so this time we're going all out with terrain and mimis. This is the first time for my wife though … so, enough of that. My question is about sharing content. I love the character building aspect of DDB and have done 4 different characters so far (my wife's is one of them). We were thinking about using tablets at the table with our character sheets on them. So, I made an account for my wife too and started to build her character on her account, but ran into a snag. I purchased content on my account. Is there a way that I can share that content with my wife or do I need to purchase it again on her account?
You need a Master subscription for content sharing, it costs 55$/year, and lets anyone in up to 3 campaigns you're into have access to any resource or book owned by anyone else in that campaign.
So if you create a campaign with your wife and your son here, and enable content sharing, they will have access to everything you own. Then, if your son decides to buy a book or subclass or spell of his own, it will also be shared with everyone in the campaign.
Thanks for the info! My son is actually the DM (frankly, he's much better at it than I am) so I'll see if he's going to set up the campaign and let him know to enable content sharing!

Even though it's called a "Master" subscription, you absolutely do not need to be the DM to enable it, FYI !
I own several books, and have a Master subscription. If I'm invited as a player to a campaign, I can enable content sharing and make everything available to everyone. The DM might not even own a single book and still get access to everything ;)

A free or hero tier account would be able to share unlocked content to a master tier account? I wanted to unlock a book my DM doesn't have.
The way content sharing works, is that anyone with a Master sub can activate content sharing in a campaign.
Once content sharing is enabled, any content owned by any player within the campaign will be available to all players, regardless of subscription status.
An example I use to clear any confusion is: I am a player with the legendary bundle, another player has a master sub and enables sharing, the DM and 2 other players haven't paid anything. All 4 players and DM and access all the books.

Set up a campaign on your account and send the link to you wife. Have her create a character on your campaign tab.
