On one of Adam Bradford's Dev Updates, I recall him taking about the (at the time) impending Fandom takeover and declaring that the big worry everyone had about ads on beyond wasn't a concern because of how it is built, the importance of the subscription mode, and because of the massive effort it would take to turn Beyond into what people generally don't like about Fandom wikis.
But I was just on the MAD post on the front page before I logged in and noticed a political ad in the margin clearly funded by the NRA.
In the wake of all the recent shootings and the general outcry aimed toward the NRA, I am disappointed at both the broken promise and the tone-deaf way Fandom has clearly compromised Beyond's integrity.
