So me and my mate during our D&D session have come up with one of the most dumbest (or greatest) ideas ever of being cleric brothers when our characters retire or die in the current campaign we're in. We flipped a coin and chose what we'll want to be. I chose to be the good-aligned drow life domain cleric while he chose the opposite; the evil-aligned high elf death domain cleric.
Somehow we've gotta make it feel like we're brothers.
Our faith will be the Raven Queen as she supports both life and death equally (according to D&D Wiki anyway: https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Raven_Queen). So I was wondering, what sort of background could we make that would make the two of us meet up and end up becoming companions in the same faith? Even ideas out of the scrap books will be of help!
I was thinking prisoners that had to escape together and only help out each other from desperation. Or is that too cliche?
