For the variant tiefling wings, do they sprout out when ever you want, or are they always there. I ask because I want to cast disguise self, and am wondering if the wings won't go away
^ my understanding as well is that they are always there, think like a winged gargoyle - you can fold them up against your back but they are still always 'visible' unless you cast as spell to hide them or try and cover them up with a cloak
which means in most situations you're probably going to draw some attention (good/bad/indifferent depends on the game)
That is what I was thinking wish that series would come back

There is no action to make the wings appear, according to the description, so I think they are always there.

Skameros - Bugbear Barbarian - Out of the Abyss - By Kerrec
Follow your Arrow where it Points - Tabaxi Monk - Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus (by Pokepaladdy)
Citron Pumpkinfoam - Fairy Monk - Project Point: Team Longsword
Or do like the Gargoyles in the animated series did where they wrapped around themselves like a cloak.
That is what I was thinking wish that series would come back
