If you buy a Hero sub can you upgrade it for Master later? Or do I need to wait the year out and upgrade it? If there is a thread please link and I will read. Thanks.

If you think there is a chance you'll want the Master Tier, then go for it. I kept the free account for a long time before breaking down and getting it myself. Here's the thing, the main advantage to getting the Hero Tier is the unlimited number of Character Sheets you can create. Doesn't really matter to me unless my players don't have Beyond and I want to create their characters on here for my own personal use to keep track of. And, ultimately, I just didn't view it as much of an improvement over the Free Account.
With the Master Level subscription, I've been able to get three of my friends to join, PLUS my wife, due to the content sharing capability which helps them personally build their character sheets and have access to the sourcebooks for further research that they wouldn't have access to otherwise. And, yes, I feel $55 is a little steep, but it got my friends on Beyond, which infinitely boosts my enjoyment as a DM and they have fun being able to further customize their characters than they had previously ever felt possible. Eventually, if everyone buys their own stuff on here, I won't need the subscription anymore, but in the meantime, I feel I'm getting the value's worth for me and my situation and priorities.
Tip of the hat to you ManOfValor. I really appreciate your insight and opinion on this. If I get a couple good interactions I will probably make the purchase. If not than I won't.
I just noticed you are a fairly new member to the community here. In that case, yes, I would certainly urge you to make a few purchases before considering the subscription tiers. Because, the main advantage with them is based on unlocked content from either you or other people in your campaign (speaking of the Master Tier). BloodHawk and I actually play together and we both started buying a few books here and there on the site. Then, he decides to go all in for the Legendary. After seeing all the content for myself using the Master subscription, I went ahead and invested myself in the Legendary Bundle. But, part of that comes from the service of the site and quality of the content provided. The other part comes from a belief in the team, their dream, vision and where they are heading. If you haven't checked out the Developer Updates (aka Dev Updates) on the homepage, look them up and check it out. It will give you a sense of where Beyond as been, how far they've come and where they are going.
That said, once you have a few purchases under your belt or you play with other players with a lot of unlocked (purchased) content, THAT'S when to go forth with the Master Tier subscription to take full advantage of its benefits.
Ok. Got it. If it is not too much, would anyone be willing to look over my post in LFG and let me know if it is ok. If I should add or subtract anything. I would appreciate it.
Looked over it and it seemed fine to me. Admittedly, the entire concept of VTT and online play is completely new to me and not something I'm well familiar with.
I bought the hero tier and later decided I wanted to upgrade to master. It was pretty easy to do, just submit a ticket to support and the will give you a pro rated refund on your hero subscription and then you can purchase the master subscription. It was a while ago that I did it, but I remember it being a fast and painless process.

Right. A nuisance. An inconvenience. Tickets aren't handled over the weekend for example, and you have to wait for the sub to cancel before you can start then new one, and you have to check that you got the refund.
Just because there were no further complications doesn't mean it is easy. Easy would be a button to upgrade that auto discounted based on the prorate of existing sub. That way you don't have to wait for support and don't have to check on the refund.

For sure, an automated system for upgrading would be better, but based on my experience the inconvenience is quite small. If you want hero tier now for extra character slots but later might want the ability to share the content you purchased, I'd say just get hero tier for now, upgrading in the future if you change your mind really isn't that big of a deal.

I just checked Marketplace>Subscriptions and I don't see that. Thanks for the info.
Pretty sure it only says that after you have a sub...
From what I have seen, changing subs is possible, but a nuisance.

Go big or go home right? If you're going to pay for something why not just go all in. But if you don't have the money don't do it.
Thanks for the info DxJxC.

Very true Bloodhawk7. If it looks like a positive experience I will. Just not prone to waste.

Thanks again ManOfValor.
