"You retain the benefit of any features from your class, race, or other source and can use them if the new form is physically capable of doing so. However, you can’t use any of your special senses, such as darkvision, unless your new form also has that sense."
So the answer is yes, but I dunno I feel like things like stoneskin are better options as you don't have to sacrifice levels into Barbarian. That way you can and eventually get beast spells and arch druid. Plus the elemental forms are resistant to slashing, bludgeoning, and piercing and that's probably what you'll be using the most.
Imagine, a Shifter Path of the Beast Barbarian/Moon Druid. You have a bear person who is a raging bear that turns into bears. I now have my next character, thank you.
Moon druid totem barbarian was a multiclass I had never thought about...untill I listened to a few DnD horror stories were such a combo TPK their own team. 3 on 1 and the dru/barb still walked away? Damn!

And it only takes 3 bonus actions to set up (or at best 2 bonus actions and 1 full action).

Worth it.
