Through my reading of many fantasy, and dnd books I find a total lack of novels where the hero is a monsterous race such as orc, half orc, hobgoblin, etc or any grimdark books any suggestions on what I should read?
It doesn’t feature monstrous protagonists (well maybe one, kind of), but the First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie is a fantastic grindark fantasy series.

There is a very popular series where the main character is a drow (they are typically evil). Drizz or something.
Of you are into manga and don't care about D&D settings, I can start listing. I don't really know D&D novels.

A Gathering of Ravens by Scott Oden is a dark fantasy story with an orc protagonist, and an excellent book as well! I'd highly recommend it.
