HI I am an avid-young-learning writer, and I have begun to branch into this art as a medium as a method for story-arch-creation.
Should I question this in the DM section? or do they get Bite-y about it?

The best thing you can do as a new DM is watch Matt Colville's running the game series. He's been doing this for his entire life (pretty much) and is good at explaining things. The first video in the 90+ video series is here:
