If l were to buy, say, the source book bundle, then a year from now decide l want the adventure books, could l buy the legendary pack to get the adventures and any new source books added, without having to pay for the books l already have?
in other words, would buying a bundle also make me re pay for any books l already have,or would the price of the books l already have be removed from the bundle price?
l want to get the legendary pack, but its almost 1K (canadian) and thats wayout of my price range,so l want to know if me buying the PHB,DMG,ZGtE and MM (which would be $162.32 cad now would make me have to pay another 160 if l but the legendary pack,or if the 160 will be removed from the legendary bundles total price.
ps should i just buy the things l want individually (like the divine soul subclass from Xanathars)? at least until l can get the books for a good price? (l hate wasteing money,so l want to make a informed decision before spending money now only to find out l should have waited until later to get a better deal.)
You wouldn't have to pay for multiple books twice; any money spent on a book gives you a discount to that amount off future bundles. Buying the sourcbook or adventure bundle will discount the legendary bundle by that amount.
If you buy those four books, the amount of money you spend on them will be deducted from the legendary bundle.

You can even see the crediting in action in the store. Check the price of the bundle. Buy your book, then check the bundle price again, and it will be lower crediting the books you've bought to the bundle price. Of course, as books get added to the respective bundles, the price will increase it looks like at least twice a year. And if that leads to a followup question, yes if you own a bundle future books can be purchased at a I think 15% discount as a bundle owner.
