Is there any way to implement custom spells into homebrewed magic item?

I am trying to create a homebrewed item with the effect of a spell that i made thats also homebrewed but i cant seem to find it on the list of possible spells to add. Am i doing something wrong?

Ummm....should be possible, I have definitively done the same with a magic sword and my own version of turn undead...

Sometimes with working on different items in multiple tabs in a browser I have to do a full page reload for things to appear...
