I've been looking for a way to stream music files from my PC privately with my friends for our D&D campaign. I've made a compilation of ambiences and would like to stream them for immersion. We're not streaming to any public outlets (Twitch, Youtube, etc.), it's strictly within our zoom conferences. Zoom does have some music streaming functionality, but it isn't very good (low quality, cuts out when people speak, desktop stream so it includes unwanted sounds, etc.).
I did come across Syrinscape Online and I liked it's features, but it doesn't allow you to stream files locally from your PC. I was hoping anyone reading this might know of an app or other solution that can do just that?
Foundry has a way to put MP3 files into their playlist and you can play them, control volume, etc. I think it also lets the players control their own volume so if they don't like the DM's musical ambiance they can mute it.

WOTC lies. We know that WOTC lies. WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. We know that WOTC knows that we know that WOTC lies. And still they lie.
Because of the above (a paraphrase from Orwell) I no longer post to the forums -- PM me if you need help or anything.
I use Discord plus it's native Spotify integration. Each listener needs to have spotify premium, but once you've got past that hurdle, it works really well.
The DM and each player links their spotify and discord accounts, then the DM fires up spotify and starts playing the background music. In discord, you'll see a green play icon next to the file upload plus in the chat field. Click that and you'll start a 'listening party'. Then each player can click join and it'll sync playback on their spotify client with what you're playing. It's great because the DM can play, pause and change music, but each person can individually adjust their local volume.
You can also combine this with the app DnDify, which is a spotify controller app with a load of built in playlists plus a quick combat button.

Doesn't roll20 have that

Roll20 has a dukebox function. You can use their own selection or you can upload your own. It's really simple.
