Hey, I'm thinking of running the recent adventure Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden with some experienced players. Any GM tips or advice for this adventure?
I haven’t run it, but I hear it’s got a lot of spooky parts. Talk to your players ahead of time to decide how creepy you want to make it, and to make sure they don’t crack too many jokes when it’s time for chills. That spooky feeling is all about atmosphere, so dim the lights, play creepy music, and talk in a low monotone voice.
