So, I am starting a new campaign with a druid who is going Circle of the Stars. In the game rules that subclass is present, however it wont show up when creating a character. Does anyone know why this is done? I don't understand why they would show this as a part of the game rules, but then leave it out of the character creation options.
EDIT: It seems to have been updated and that UA is no longer listed. Is it part of Tasha's?

Because all Unearthed Arcana except for Drakewarden for Ranger and Ascendant Dragon was archived today.
Items and Classes and Subclasses go through playtesting, called Unearthed Arcana for a time. When WotC decides to publish the class, or drop it, it is considered archived and no longer available as a UA.
22 of the UA subclasses are being officially released tomorrow, the 17th with Tasha's coming out. Circle of Stars is one of those.
If you haven't, or don't want to buy Tasha's, the subclass, if price points remain, should be $1.99 from D&D Beyond.
Circle of Stars looks amazing though, been wanting to play one, but the character I played before my current one was Circle of Dreams. Don't want to go back to Druid so fast, even though Dreams was outstanding.

Thanks, yeah I created the character just a couple days ago and the UA for this subclass was still there, so they must have just taken it off.
Yep, the 16th was the lock on UA.

The character is a tabaxi with black fur and white spots that form constellations. Their fur IS the star map.
Nice.
I wanted to make my Star Map out of a bonsai tree. So I would twist or turn it to make the appropriate constellation.
