So I'm a new Master Tier Subscriber, and I'm trying to figure out some stuff about DnDBeyond "campaigns"

How are "claimed" characters treated, for the purpose of DnDBeyond's Free accounts? Do they eat one of their 6 character builder slots?

Found the answer to my own question: Yes they need an open slot.

The players will literally be greeted by:

Available Characters in Campaign

You can join by claiming an unassigned character if you have character slots available.
