sure...personally I could see assigning the NPC fights to someone else being very helpful so they could focus on just maximizing the NPC’s actions and options without being distracted by all the rest of the DM activities.
I'm going to guess that the question is more about content sharing on D&D Beyond, so that the OP can elect a member of their D&D Beyond campaign and give that player access to campaign notes, encounters, published adventures not accessible to the rest of the campaign's players.
That, would be cool. Especially for some groups where one player has say the legendary bundle but the group actually rotates DM duties. However, I don't think such selective access is currently possible. It would be cool to be able to designate one player in a campaigns 12 player group as "alt / asst DM" which would give that player more access to the DM's D&D Beyond content.
Otherwise, yeah, if this question is about going ons at a table, it's not uncommon especially in big groups for there to be assistant DM to say run combat for members of the party while the DM is giving the rest of the players more of the plot via role playing.
