I have been setting up lore and such for a game I have been running, and a case has risen where I need a written song surrounding some of the game lore.
So, I am looking for someone can can help in writing a song. So if there are any song writers who can assist in writing/composing a piece, let me know, and I will share the specific lore for the song.
Alternatively, if you know a site for such requests, let me know and I will look into that as well.
All stars fade. Some stars forever fall. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Homebrew (Mostly Outdated):Magic Items,Monsters,Spells,Subclasses ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If there was no light, people wouldn't fear the dark.
I am looking for a telling of history, in a style similar, but not replicating the Song of Durin, and/or some of the song from the DragonLance Chronicles, such as Goldmoons Song.
Goldmoon's Song...
From DragonLance Chronicles Volume 1 Dragons of Autumn Twilight Novel by Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman Poetry by Michael Williams
"The grasslands are endless, And summer sings on, And Goldmoon the princess Loves a poor man's son.
Her father the chieftain Makes long roads between them: The grasslands are endless, and summer sings on.
The grasslands are waving, The sky's rim is gray, The chieftain sends Riverwind East and away,
To search for strong magic At the lip of the morning, The grasslands are waving, the sky's rim is gray.
O Riverwind, where have you gone? O Riverwind, autumn comes on. I sit by the river And look to the sunrise, But the sun rises over the mountains alone.
The grasslands are fading, The summer wind dies, He comes back, the darkness Of stones in his eyes.
He carries a blue staff As bright as a glacier: The grasslands are fading, the summer wind dies.
The grasslands are fragile, As yellow as flame, The chieftain makes mockery Of Riverwind's claim.
He orders the people To stone the young warrior: The grasslands are fragile, as yellow as flame.
The grassland has faded, And autumn is here. The girl joins her lover, The stones whistle near,
The staff flares in blue light And both of them vanish: The grasslands are faded, and autumn is here."
As mentioned, you will need the Lore regarding the particular topic for the song. I can provide that, but it will be a while. I will need to collect the lore from my notes on my home computer. (Traveling at present.)
Or if you prefer, this one of mine is a little more recent.... and more of an epic:
He looked down from his fortress high "Is there ever a good day to die?" He looked up at the castle grand "Soon I'll rule this foreign land"
Two kings gone to war Who will survive to keep the score? Two kings off to fight Will truth triumph or will might make right?
He bade his archers their shots to stay "Let them think us easy prey" He bade his siege engines release their stones "We'll break their walls then break their bones"
Two kings in a siege Who will survive to remain 'Liege?' Two kings in a battle rage Who will triumph upon this day?
Projectiles flew but the walls held This castle would not so quickly yield And yet the numbers told their own tale So many besiegers, how could they fail?
He surveyed the damage looking bold "This wall will not forever hold" He looked up feeling victory due "A few more rounds and we are through"
Two kings facing off Which of them is strong enough? Two kings in this deadly dance Who will will be favoured by skill and chance?
He told his troops it is time themselves to prove "It is time to make our move" He saw victory and yet had doubt "This king I've heard not such a lout...."
The wall began to breach The defender soon would teach There is more to a castle than it's walls The invader would soon fall The moat was quickly crossed But many troops were lost Archers fired through the gap Arbalests fired flaming sap Fire that outshone the sun And yet the battle was not yet done
He watched his defensive stance succeed "Now to finish this is what we need." He watched the slaughter, sighed and said "Then by my own hand shall they be dead"
He stood by ready, sensing something dire He sacrificed his troops in massive fire He ordered his men to all fall back He transformed and grew, prepared to attack He told his men they've done their part He shouted "I'll tear you all APART" Both revealed their wings. Time to end things Into the sky they soared Neither said a word But every clash of sword and claw Shook the ground, the air, shook ALL Hours they clashed their in the sky Then on the land, neither saying die They fought til they could barely stand Their fighting shattered the very land Into the depths they both did spill For all we know, they're fighting still So if you are resting in your home And the earth it shakes and moves and moans It is just two kings, still fighting on Throughout all time, til time is done
Ok, so, that s the best thing I have seen in all of dnd beyond. Also can I use this in a game?

You can lead a dwarf to water, but you can't make him get in the boat.
What type of song are you trying to make? I'm no songwriter, but I can help with the lyrics if you tell me what you're looking for.

What I need is something which tells a shortened version of the lore/legend surrounding a major historical event in my homebrew world.
When I get home to my pc, I will send the lore in a pm. It is a lot, so be ready for a short story. Haha
