On page 110 of the print version of the 2024 Player's Handbook there is a Blessed Warrior option for paladins at level 2 you can have if you don't choose a fighting style. The online sourcebook in D&D Beyond omits that, making it look like you can choose a fighting style OR you can get Divine Smite.
