TL;DR: My Artificer "inherited" a cart of alcohol and became a mobile laundry service.
So, we're playing Hoard of the Dragon Queen and began our journey from Baldur's Gate to Waterdeep. We join the caravan as guards and sergeants with the promise of making some gold. Well, my cute little Twinkle rolled to guard Mr. Bade Siddebay (spelling?) an alcohol salesmen with enough spirits to last the 50 day journey. Of course one of my Infusions is the Alchemy Jug because poison and acid are great support items to give the party. Well, I showed Mr. Bade that I could produce 4 gallons of beer every day AND used Prestidigitation to chill the beer and flavor it (in the mug) however he liked. Our journey continued and took a turn "for the worse" on day 14. We were attacked by some monsters that killed 2 of the people in our (the PCs) circle. The DM rolled and it was Mr. Bade and the other guard he had hired. Now, my wholesome little guy was upset and buried Bade and the guard by each other and poured out a mug of Bade's favorite ale in his memory. But there's this cart now... Twinkle had mentioned to Bade about becoming business partners because 4 gallons of beer is no joke especially when there are no production costs. He was kind of into the idea at the time. Twinkle decides to take over the cart because it was also his responsibility and let someone know that Bade won't be making anymore deliveries. But the people still want their drinks, they still want to have a good time every evening. Twinkle began selling the beer for 3cp/mug and sold about 60 mugs per night. (180cp/day isn't amazing but it's nothing to turn your nose to).
Then, we continued traveling and on day 20 one of the other PCs made a comment about how another PC smelled because he didn't bathe at night. Twinkle offered to cast some Prestidigitations to clean him up (not really something that fits in a 1ft. cube but the DM is cool with it). He no longer smelled but the other PC said his clothes still smelled bad. And this is where Twinkle had the idea to offer laundry services at night while he sold alcohol. For a measly copper piece, Twinkle will instantly clean your clothes so you can feel fresh while we travel on the road. The DM determined that enough people liked us (Twinkle especially because alcohol) that Twinkle could earn an additional 20cp/night doing people's laundry. This is my new favorite use of Prestidigitation.
So, for day 20-50, Twinkle is earning 200cp/day while the other members of the party are earning 5, 8, and 10gp every 10 days. The death of Twinkle's employer was the most profitable thing that happened this whole trip. Now, Twinkle has aspirations to hire some mage hirelings and open a brick and mortar laundry shop in Waterdeep. We'll see how that happens, he's going to spend the next 20 or so days making a business plan. If you're interested in how that goes, I'll post about it if/when it happens.
Sounds like a fun time. I'm playing a wizard/artificer that is on the opposite trajectory. They were a traveling wizard who made a living with things like laundering(prestidigitation), Repair (Mending). During the campaign I picked up Continual Flame and Arcane lock to give some more advanced/high end services. But over time my char has been getting closer and closer with the adventuring group and is becoming less of a business man...dragonborn.

Awesome! I can’t wait to see what happens! That use of presiddigitation (or what ever i suck at spelling) is amazing!
